**ABOUT THE ROLE**
Barker College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Strength and Conditioning Rehabilitation Coordinator.
This is a Permanent Full-Time role for an immediate start.
The Strength and Conditioning Rehabilitation Coordinator is a member of the Barker Sports Department which is inspired at all times by the core Barker values (Commitment, Compassion, Courage, Integrity, and Respect). Staff members participate in the effective management of the sports program of the College as an integral part of the Barker community.
As a Strength and Conditioning Rehabilitation Coordinator, you have responsibility coordinating the rehabilitation, return to play and concussion protocols as designed by the Barker Strength and Conditioning program. Through a strong understanding of College policy and process, you will contribute to the Strength and Conditioning program in line with the strategic intent of the Sport Department. You will work closely with the Director of Strength and Conditioning, Strength and Conditioning Coordinators and individual sports coaches.
The logístical responsibilities of the role include the following core functions:
- Assistance and contribution to the Strength and Conditioning Program.
- Practical, face to face instruction for teams and individuals, particularly those who are managing or returning from injury.
- Utilisation of technology and software solutions for the Strength and Conditioning Program as it pertains to injury management and rehabilitation.
- Develop and maintain communication lines with physiotherapists and other medical practitioners who are involved with Barker students.
- Implementation of College policy and process through the program
- Pastoral care & student welfare management
Skills and Experience Essential to the role:
- Relevant Tertiary Education. ASCA L2 desired but not required.
- Experience with Smartabase desired but not required.
- Experience in injury management for athletes desired but not required.
- Prior experience with sports academy programs,
- High level of organisational skill
- Capacity to work collaboratively as a member of a team
- Highly refined communication skills, both written and oral.
