We are looking for a suitably qualified **Landfill Maintenance Operator **to join the team. You will be responsible for the management of the recycling drop-off facility and litter management at the Jackson Street Landfill site, and a range of other activities associated with the operation of the site.

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Experience and knowledge in a landfill and recycling operations, or other similar work environment.
- Ability to responsibly follow Standard Operating Procedures when undertaking tasks relevant to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, whilst displaying integrity, responsibility, and respect for others.
- Well-developed communication skills, including an ability to communicate with the public in a courteous manner that does not provoke conflict or result in a negative perception of the Landfill or the Council.
- To be physically capable of undertaking the tasks required.
- Knowledge of, and commitment to, Workplace Health & Safety at employee level.

**Position Hours**:Part-time, 56.33 hours fortnight. This position will include some weekend work (weekend penalty rates apply).

**Salary range**:$57,886.42 to $60,831.80 pro rata plus superannuation
