**About the role**:
A fantastic ongoing opportunity to join Box Hill Institute as one our Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Advisors.

As one of the HSW Advisors you will provide advice, guidance and support within Box Hill Institute (BHI) to drive increased safety engagement, culture and compliance. As part of the HSW team you will focus on continuous improvement and championing HSW projects with BHI stakeholders.

Your role will also see you responsible for leading investigations based on ICAM methodology, coordinating safety audits and risk assessments in operational areas, establishing HSW risk profiles of areas and identifying trends.

As part of the HSW team you will play a vital role in our emergency management in ensuring awareness, engagement and participation in training as part of our continuous improvement program.

You will also have the opportunity to develop content and deliver HSW training across the organisation as well as proactive case management of RTW and Wellbeing cases; supporting employees and operational needs.
- The HSW Advisor role is based at our Elgar Road, Box Hill site. The salary for this role is in line with the PACCT 7 classification._

**About You**:

- Diploma in OHS or relevant qualifications as well as WorkSafe Victoria approved RTW Coordinator training & First Aid Certificate (HLTAID004 or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role coupled with high level knowledge of HSW practices
- High level knowledge of relevant occupational health and safety legislative frameworks
- Experience with chemical management, leading investigations, audits and risk assessments.
- Experience or willingness to be involved in first aid and emergency response
- Risk management experience including identification, evaluation and consultation to decrease risk and implement practical solutions to increase safety outcomes
- Demonstrated experience in RTW case management; positively influencing implementation of early intervention strategies and RTW outcomes
- High level communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders
- Ability to translate complex information and data analyse into meaningful reports with recommendations on engagement and improvements
- Strong problem solving skills including the ability to provide solutions whilst upholding the principles of safety
