**About the role**:
In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring that funding decisions for indictable criminal matters are not only made with precision and efficiency, but also contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and services. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to making a positive impact on the criminal justice system.
- This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country_

**About you**:

- A current Australian practising certificate which entitles you to practise in Victoria as a government legal practitioner (mandatory).
- Legal practice experience in indictable crime (mandatory).
- Ability to make quality decisions on funding requests for indictable matters.
- Track record in supporting and implementing process improvements, particularly in funding major criminal cases.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships, and facilitating open communication with stakeholders.
- Capability to critically analyse complex situations and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Familiarity with legal frameworks surrounding criminal trials and funding procedures.
- Proactive approach to professional development and dedication to delivering high-quality outcomes.
