PERSOLKELLY has partnered with a government organisation seeking a Waste Officer. A combination of on the road evidence gathering, and community engagement.

**What you will do**:

- Investigate illegal dumping, collect evidence for prosecutions, ensure compliance with waste collection requirements and conduct bin audits.
- Liaise with residents to promote waste reduction and recycling, and implement programs providing a community-friendly waste collection and disposal service.
- Assist with the development of educational material for waste management issues.

**What you will bring**:

- Knowledge of Waste Services activities
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
- Able to follow legislative guidelines and make informed decisions
- Able to communicate effectively with staff, customers and contractors
- Well-developed conflict resolutions skills
- Technical skills to set up surveillance cameras in problems areas
- Desired : local government / community development program experience
- C class drivers licence
