**About the Opportunity**
The Operations Planning Team is a key capability area within the Operations Planning department. The core purpose of the Operations Planning Team is to provide world class planning services and support to ASC and broader Submarine Enterprise. The Planning Team also manages external stakeholder relationships (e.g. Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, Raytheon, THALES etc) in support of Maintenance Activity work package generation, execution and coordination and associated technical information to the wider CCSM Enterprise.
**Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Work Package Planning Team Lead, the Work Package Planner provides services and support to dedicated maintenance projects in support of team commitments as allocated by the Work Package Planning Team Lead. The primary purposes of the role are to manage development and changes to the approved project work scope in a compliant and accurate manner, utilising ASC corporate systems and processes.
Expectations of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Coordination and ongoing development of Maintenance Availability Work Packages (MAWP) iaw allocated project end to end milestones.
- Ensure all Work Package Planning services are delivered in accordance with the E2E process / milestone dates (or better) and are provided in a format required by downstream customers.
- Develop, coordinate and ensure accurate Maintenance Change Proposals, Unscheduled Corrective Maintenance and Total Work package Management System task requests for allocated projects as required.
- Conduct impact assessment of Maintenance Availability Work Packages (MAWP) as a result of integration of modifications to work packages resulting from work package updates including; CCI’s, CCP’s, PDR’s, SG2’s, and URDEF’s.
- Continuous improvement and adherence to the Submarine Planning Corporate Management System processes, internal work instructions and other processes required by the Project Management Plan.
- Demonstrate leadership and provide guidance to other departments pertaining to the allocated project MAWP. Act as point of contact between the Project Team and the Planning Team for allocated maintenance activity.
**Eligibility**
Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship and be eligible to obtain Australian Defence Security Clearance that includes providing a current National Police Clearance Certificate if successful.
**About you**
- Demonstrated competence and experience with work order & MCR generation, coordination and closeout processes within a project or planning environment.
- Demonstrated extensive corporate data base and ERP system knowledge and skills utilized to interrogate corporate tools and data bases in support of work package generation, execution and closeout.
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- written, verbal and interpersonal and across multiple levels. - High level problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to set priorities and achieve deadlines within a fast paced environment.
- Attention to detail, alignment and accuracy of corporate data and information systems.
