Specifically, we’re looking for an Assistant in Nursing that is currently undertaking and has completed one or more years of a nursing degree and/or has a Certificate 3 in Assistant in Nursing. Importantly, if you are an overseas resident with a temporary visa, please apply. This position will be open to you if no suitable Australian permanent resident or citizen is identified.

Here at Justice Health NSW, the Assistant in Nursing (AIN) position requires the employee to undertake activities for which they have the legal authority and competence to perform (please refer to the Scope of Practice document). The person performing the delegated activity is accountable for his or her own actions and to the Registered Nurse (RN). Supervision means the direction and guidance given by a RN to an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). The supervision may be direct or indirect according to the nature of the work delegated to the AIN. The AIN will work within Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JH&FMHN) and Ministry of Health policies, procedures and guidelines as well as Corrective Services NSW or Juvenile Justice NSW rules and regulations as set out in the relevant legislation.
