**The Role**

We currently have an opportunity to join our Finance team as an Analyst, Group Actuarial Valuation which can be based in Melbourne or North Sydney.

In this role, you will produce actuarial related deliverables to support reporting on drivers of profitability and value outcomes of the group insurance business including explaining key drivers to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Calculating the policy liabilities for balance sheet reporting and using experience investigation analysis to recommend appropriate assumptions for best estimate reporting.
- Calculating the value of inforce to support the embedded value calculation.
- Calculating business planning financials and forecasting end of year profit and value results.
- Producing monthly profit performance analysis and engaging with key stakeholders (e.g. product, pricing, claims) on key insights.
- Actuarial related disclosures for the notes to accounts and policy liability related forms to submit to APRA.
- Contributing to relevant sections of the Financial Condition Report.

**About you**
- Bachelor of Actuarial Science or similar degree preferred.
- 1 + years' work experience in Life Insurance (or other Financial Services industry) preferred but not essential.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to understand technical concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
