**Broad Purpose**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our team at Avance Clinical, a leading Clinical Research Organization (CRO). The Contracts Manager will be responsible for leading the contracts team including strategic planning within the contracts department, setting goals and objectives for the team, process improvement, building out a contracting framework, overseeing the implementation of a contract management system, managing and motivating a team, and training the team. This is a leadership position that will play a critical role in driving our success and growth.

**Core Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a contracting framework to ensure effective and efficient management of contracts across the organization.
- Oversee the implementation of a contract management system to ensure timely and accurate management of all contracts.
- Manage and motivate a team of contract specialists to ensure they are performing to their highest potential.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the contracts function.
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing team members to ensure consistency and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and advice to internal stakeholders on contracting matters, including negotiating and drafting contracts, interpreting terms and conditions, and managing risk.
- Collaborate with other departments, including legal and finance, to ensure consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Enable global expansion by developing the contracting process for new jurisdictions, working closely with local legal teams to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update the legal risk framework to ensure that it reflects the changing needs of the business.
- Work closely with the project management team to drive contracting terms, ensuring that they are aligned with project timelines and budgets.
- Continuously review and improve terms and conditions to meet changing needs and ensure that they are consistent with industry standards.
- Solicit regular inputs from local legal teams to ensure that the contracting framework reflects best practices across all jurisdictions.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management or a related field, with a focus on process improvement, building out a contracting framework, and implementing contract management systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills, with a thorough understanding of contract law and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, including the ability to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions, and implement changes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
