Our Compliance Manager actively facilitates and strengthens the Compliance program for Australia & New Zealand, ensuring alignment with EssilorLuxottica's internal policies, procedures, and local legal requirements. You will collaborate on recommending, coordinating, and endorsing Compliance initiatives and operate as a strategic business partner, providing expert counsel & guidance to employees and partners to proactively prevent and detect any potential breaches of laws, regulations, and internal policies. Reporting to our Compliance Associate Director, Asia & China and will cover EssilorLuxottica entities and businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Implement EssilorLuxottica’s Compliance policies, procedures, systems and processes to ensure appropriate gatekeeping mechanism in place
- Support designing, managing and deploying effective compliance training, communication and customized programs suitable for the designated countries and/or targeted teams and leaders
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement associated risk mitigation programs and/or processes
- Set up and conduct regular compliance updates and reviews with our local management
- Act as the Group’s Privacy Officer for ANZ and support deployment of the EssilorLuxottica data protection program
- Conduct assessments and audits to identify areas of risks and possible exposure of entities within the ANZ Region.
- Implement a Privacy Management Framework including the management of Privacy Impact Assessments, a Data breach response Plan
- Independently manage day-to-day Compliance-related issues and investigations
- Execute the escalation process for serious allegations, in alignment with our global and regional practices and corrective actions

**Requirements for Success**
- Minimum of 6 years’ audit and/or compliance-related experience
- Strong knowledge of the Privacy Act (Australian and New Zealand) and related Privacy Principles/ SPAM legislation
- High level of integrity with strong ethical core values and ability to uphold them in occasions of pressure
- Clear, persuasive communicator with organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Capable of supporting strategic decisions based on the local legal, business and market environment; able to handle complex business situations and develop solutions to ensure compliant growth is achieved
- Experience in implementation of data protection program
- Accounting and/or Legal degree required (preferably with audit or forensics background)
- Additionally, experience in within the Retail industry is preferred
- A proactive, pragmatic and positive personality to implement change and think outside the square
