An exciting opportunity exists to join the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water, Program Management Office. As the Principal Project Officer within the Program Management Office, you will be a member of a fast paced, progressive, and fun team that works collaboratively to achieve program objectives. As a newly formed team, together we have the opportunity to build a strong foundation, test out innovative ideas and be creative in how we can achieve high quality outcomes together.
Working within the Program Management Office team, this position will: - Plan and coordinate Program and Project assurance activities including Internal Audits, External Audits in addition to health checks of project and program delivery against applicable frameworks. Collaborate with external assurance agencies in the ongoing governance and assurance for the Programs and Projects. Plan and coordinate Program and Project Benefits Management measuring, tracking, monitoring, and reporting. Coordinate Information Governance Management arrangements for Programs and Projects. Research and develop fit for purpose Program, Project and Governance Management and Delivery Frameworks. Plan and coordinate record management arrangements for Programs and Projects in accordance with DRDMW record management arrangements. Plan and coordinate the development and overall implementation of initiatives for the successful delivery of the Department's cross-divisional Programs and Rural Water Futures (RWF) projects. Promote and provide expert strategic advice to boards, management, and other governance groups on the implementation of the Programs and Projects to support transparent, sustainable, and equitable water management across the state. Contribute to the development of program funding submissions and support the development of clear concise targeted communications and messaging for programs for both internal and external audiences. Contribute to program and project budget development, management and supporting the coordination of procurement processes. Coordinate the development of project plans, issues and risks management measures, project baseline and change requests recognising emerging political, economic, environmental, scientific, and social issues. Ensure consistent reporting on programs, projects and sub-projects to the board and management ensuring consistency with Program and Project governance standards and where necessary identify areas requiring direction, resource adjustments and support from senior management. Collaborate with industry and key internal and external stakeholders to positively influence and drive significant change in the water industry and staff through effective program implementation. Co-ordinate and prepare submissions, correspondences, and briefing papers for forums such as Board, senior management, industry councils and for the Minister. Coordinate the provision of robust and cohesive program and change management, governance and reporting for the Rural Water Management Program (RWMP) initiatives, to ensure on time and quality delivery of the program.
