**Mater’s External Relations and Engagement** **team** is seeking an experienced **Communications Advisor **to support its integrated communications, marketing and engagement team and drive communications and engagement initiatives for Mater Education. Working as part of a team of 30 experienced professionals, you will be joining a team who works as custodians of the Mater brand and is responsible for delivering creative, engaging and targeted communications, engagement and marketing activities. Mater Education is the only nationally-accredited, independent, hospital-based Registered Training Organisation in Australia.

**What you’ll be doing**

The purpose of this role is to deliver communications and engagement activities for Mater Education in line with the strategic business and marketing objectives of organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Engagement Manger, some of your key responsibilities in the role will include (but are not limited to):

- Supporting the design and implementation of internal and external communication strategies to drive positive stakeholder engagement and consumer awareness to enhance Mater Education and Mater’s brand and reputation.
- Providing strategic and tactical communications and marketing advice, while supporting the delivery of activities that drive revenue and customer engagement including student acquisition and retention, media, events, marketing collateral, publications and digital content creation.
- Managing communications plans and stakeholder feedback to Mater Education-related communications and media matters and monitoring, analysing and reporting on campaign outcomes.
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to develop, manage and maintain communication channels, tools, processes and systems and building strong, effective relationships across Mater Education.
- Actively working with colleagues across Queensland to identify, develop and support the integration of health, education, research and philanthropy at Mater to improve health outcomes for Queenslanders.
- Supporting the Senior Marketing and Engagement Manger to achieve the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.
- Willingness to travel to Mater’s locations within Queensland to support local teams.

**About you**

To make this role your own, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in marketing and communications.
- Exceptional record of achievement in communications across different industries.
- Highly developed writing, communication, organisation and planning skills and knowledge of contemporary communications principles and evolving trends, including digital communications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including successful collaboration and negotiation with staff, clients and external agencies at a variety of levels.
- Strong understanding of brand development, voice, value and management.
- The ability to be a quick learner of new technology, processes, markets and industries.
