**Your new role**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Advisor to join our Customer and Communications Team.

You will empower our diverse community to thrive and prosper by developing and implementing communications plans that effectively reach Council’s target audiences to achieve outcomes defined by the Council Plan.

You will help the community recognise the value Council provides by understanding what the community values and identifying opportunities to proactively highlight our everyday work.

This is a Band 6 classified role remuneration will be $92,933.03 - 101,496.84 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.

**What you will need to thrive**

The key selection criteria for this role are:

- Be curious about the world around you and the people in it, with a demonstrated ability to assess context and strategically plan and adjust communication accordingly
- Think creatively and find new ways of reaching audiences to continually improve the effectiveness of communication
- Ability to influence others and proactively identify and escalate project and communications risks
- Be highly organised with strong project management skills to effectively balance competing priorities and demands
