The Opportunity
As Regulatory Reporting Analyst you’ll be responsible for compliance reporting for regulatory requirements within the energy and telecommunications industry. Manage and coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to regulatory bodies, ensuring that all submissions are accurate, timely, and adhere to relevant guidelines and standards. In addition to external reporting, this role will analyse trends and provide insights and reports internally as well as work closely with internal stakeholders, including front line, operations, and legal teams, to gather necessary information and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. **What you’ll be doing day-to-day**:
Regulatory Reporting
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in accordance with Australian energy and telecommunications regulations.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all regulatory submissions.
- Develop and manage annual schedule of regulatory submission timelines and develop stakeholder management approach that sees reporting delivery on time.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and adjust reporting processes accordingly.
- Coordinating and facilitating the collection of data required to respond to Regulatory requests in a consistent, planned, and efficient manner with stakeholder engagement - track progress of requests
- Develop and maintain obligation owner matrix
- Manage attestation approach

Data Collection and Analysis
- Collect and analyse data from various internal and external sources
- Identify trends, anomalies, potential risks, and areas of improvement within the data.
- Prepare detailed compliance reports and insights to senior management and regulatory bodies
- Build dashboards which enables stakeholders to self-service and understand compliance and risk trends, as well as understand internal productivity measures for compliance reporting obligations

Data Storage
- Develop approach for report storage that ensures submissions can be accessed readily and easily

Risk and Compliance Breaches
- Ensure the centralised compliance system and registers are accurately updated on all risks and breaches

Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., sales & service, operations, IT) to gather necessary information for regulatory reporting.
- Communicate effectively with regulatory bodies and external auditors as required.
- Provide support and educate internal teams on regulatory reporting requirements.
- Facilitate workshops with operational business units on type of requests and what is required

Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of regulatory reporting.
- Develop and implement best practices for data management and reporting.
- Participate in system upgrades and enhancements related to regulatory reporting.

**What you’ll bring to this role**:

- 3+ years of experience in regulatory reporting, compliance, or a related role within the energy or telecommunications industry.
- Strong understanding of Australian regulatory requirements in the energy and telecommunications sectors.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards in the energy and telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of financial and operational data relevant to regulatory reporting.
