**About the Role**: The organisation are seeking a dedicated Peer Support Lead to join the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local Service (MH&WLS) team. In this role, you will lead a team of Peer Support Workers to deliver high-quality services to individuals facing mental health challenges.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and support Peer Support Workers to engage with consumers, build trusting relationships, and provide emotional support.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to develop personalized treatment plans and promote a culture of practice aligned with Collaborative Recovery principles.
- Collect and analyze service data, contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts, and participate in incident reporting.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with mental health services, primary health providers, and community organizations to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
- Identify areas for service improvement and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to address service gaps.
- Ensure compliance with records management obligations and data collection requirements.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Lived experience of mental illness or caring for someone with a mental illness is a must**:

- Previous experience in the public or private mental health system.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in team management or supervision within community service delivery.
- Strong computer literacy and excellent written communication skills.
- Mental Health Qualification: Certificate IV level or above, or willingness to complete such a qualification within 2 years of employment.
- Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check.
