**About our opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Team Leader to join our dedicated team at the Caboolture Library

In this role, you will oversee a team of library staff in their daily operations as well as manage the library’s collection to meet the needs of the local community.

You will use a range of workforce management initiatives to lead and support your team, whilst providing expert support and advice to the Caboolture Senior Branch Leader. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and regional partners to build relationships and ensure the library’s services are meeting the needs of the community.

Additionally, you would be responsible for maintaining the library’s facility and venue, contributing to the review of library processes and services and preparing business plans and reports on service outcomes. This branch is the home base for the mobile library. Click here for further information relating to our mobile library service.

Our Caboolture library is open 7 days/week, closed on public holidays. We operate at this location with a 4 week rotating roster, and the successful applicant will need to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days as part of the ordinary hours. We anticipate the roster for this role will include working 1 weekend (Sat & Sun) every 4 weeks, and shift times will be between 8:00am to 6:15pm and may include late closing on Tuesday evening at 8:15pm.

The Library Services team forms part of our Cultural Services Department, which aims to provide engaging leisure and learning experiences by connecting people to resources and each other. We strive for excellence when delivering exhibitions, information, collections, programs and spaces for our community and visitors.

**About you**

We are looking for a leader who is experienced, passionate and knowledgeable in the delivery of public library services

You will have the ability to build strong relationships with your team and local community stakeholders to achieve positive customer service experiences.

You will bring your expertise in reviewing, developing and implementing processes to drive continual improvement within the library. As well as your understanding of the presentation and maintenance standards required within the public library setting.

You will hold a valid Qld Working with Children blue card or be eligible and willing to obtain prior to commencement.
