**The Role**:
The Program Lead Community Connections facilitates the delivery of regional community capacity building programs to meet Melbourne Water’s strategic priorities and Government objectives. Reporting to the Manager Community Capacity Building, you will facilitate the development and implementation of capacity building programs that build skills and competencies with our engaged communities, helping to protect and enhance waterway, land, biodiversity and/or agricultural values in the region.

This will be achieved through:

- Leading a team of specialist Community, Landcare and Sustainable Agriculture coordinators and facilitators in the delivery of strategic and effective engagement and capacity building programs. You will develop your team members to ensure they have the capability, skills and behaviours to effectively deliver the functions and activities required for team success.
- Working closely with Senior Managers to evaluate regional priorities and identify opportunities to continually improve program delivery and outcomes.
- Engaging with a range of stakeholders, organisations and networks, finding new ways to support and grow community participation in programs and activities.
- Optimising program and team efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and implementing continual improvement initiatives and innovation.

**Your Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- The ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of professionals to deliver program outcomes that operationalize strategic priorities.
- Understanding of scientific methods and experience working with the community and volunteers within the disciplines of environmental protection, natural resource management and/or sustainability.
- Highly-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage complex and often competing priorities within strict timelines.
- Experience leading the development of effective stakeholder relationships and collaborative partnerships.
- Focus on continuous improvement and innovation for improved business efficiency and customer outcomes.
