**The Opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity available for an Operations Officer to join the EPA in our Regulatory Operations Regional division in Parramatta and Wollongong. In this role you will manage key stakeholder interactions with a variety of licensees including heavy industry, manufacturing, primary industries, local and state government, waste and mining. You will also contribute to other regulatory and compliance operations and investigations across a range of matters including waste, illegal dumping and contaminated land management. You will also be involved in responding to enquiries from the general public and attending environmental incidents.

**About You**
- Sound understanding of the relevant policies, practices and legislative requirements that govern the EPA’s operations.
- Knowledge and experience in of one or more environment protection areas, including: contaminated land, air, water, noise, waste, chemicals, hazardous materials, radiation & environmental planning.
- Excellent time management, skills, with the ability to adapt and respond to changing organisational needs.

**About the Team**

Regulatory Operations is a dedicated team of environmental regulators who work to protect the environment and people from harm through the management of licensed premises and declared contaminated sites and investigation of environmental incidents and complaints. If you are successful in the role, you will be working in a supportive, diverse, results driven team, who work across the Sydney and Illawarra regions on significant environmental protection matters.
