**The Opportunity**

**About You**
- Provide support to Operations staff including undertaking research, surveys, preparing basic reports, submissions, correspondence and briefs, collecting, analysing and reporting information, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders where required.
- Assist to undertake standard environmental surveys and investigations to assess actual or potential environmental problems and recommend possible remedial action to the reporting officer
- Attend incidents and inspections with authorised officer(s) to follow up on complaints, ensure environmental requirements are met and perform appropriate follow up action which may include drafting a letter or a notice.
- Liaise with stakeholders within designated areas of responsibility on current and future environmental improvement and legislative requirements, follow up on issues and provide advice and assistance to the reporting officer in working with stakeholder management.

**An inherent requirement of the role is to work out of the Wollongong or Parramatta Office.**

**About the Team**

Operations is a dedicated team of environmental regulators who work to protect the environment and people from harm through the management of licensed premises and investigation of environmental incidents and complaints. If you are successful in the role, you will be working in a supportive, diverse, results driven team, who work across the region on significant environmental protection matters.
