As part of Self-Service Adoption within the Retail Distribution Channel and Strategy Transformation team, you will play a significant role in helping drive the Australia Retail strategy to drive adoption of digital and self-service ways of banking with our customers and bankers. This involves increasing the digital usage of our customer base and uplifting the number of customers who serve themselves through digital channels instead of assisted channels (branch and contact centre), for simple sales, service and other transactions.

As a Product Owner, you will enable and inspire the team (‘squad’) to pursue its mission, by guiding them on 'what' work should be completed by the squad. The Product Owner constantly prioritises tasks and the squad’s backlog with the customer at the heart of their decision making. The Product Owner also ensures that the work is strategically aligned to the tribe mission and engages with other Product Owners to align and manage interdependencies. Whilst this role is not a people manager, it is a key leadership role, galvanising the squad around a vision and supporting them to successfully deliver customer value at pace.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Successful track record as a Product Owner, Scrum Master or experience in leading initiatives or projects with a diverse range of stakeholders

Proven ability to engage and influence a significant range of stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships

Ability to create shared clarity and galvanise a diverse group of people around a common mission

Delivery and customer focused - be able to trade off, make priority calls and deliver highest value for customers and bankers

Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making

Willingness to question the status quo, and passionate about the banker and customer experience

Knowledge of Retail customer channels (banking, telco or other industry) and experience driving digital self-service adoption preferred
