Our client an established, stable and growing Managed Service Provider business that has been catering to small and medium enterprises mainly in Sydney for over 35 years. The team is expanding in Melbourne and is gearing for growth.

**About the role**

We are looking for ambitious, always learning, process driven, client satisfaction oriented virtual IT Manager.

You will be acting as the hands on IT Infrastructure manager for a number of client. You will be standardizing the client IT environment making the environment more stable and capable while at the same time identifying and communication the risk and improvement opportunities in the IT environment to the MSP’s account managers.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
The role will require you not only be hands on various technologies but build capability of the organisation. The role will require you to help define, uplift and improve the standards to that the MSP should be implementing the various infrastructure devices to clients environment.
- This role is responsible for technical alignment (identification and remediation) to reduce client incidents/tickets and the time spent doing them.
- Technical client-facing field role.
- Managing a portfolio of clients as an onsite technical resource (normally will visit one client per day).
- Truly proactive potential problem identification and remediation role that is closely aligned with ITIL Problem Management.
- Identify risks and sales opportunities to feed them back into delivery team
- You will be required to have your own reliable vehicle (Vehicle Allowance / Reimbursements will be provided as per Vehicle and Travel Policies)

**Experience and Skills Requirements**:

- Excellent customer engagement skills
- Strong experience across a wide variety of technologies
- MS Windows Server Administration
- Exchange Server / Exchange Online / Office 365
- SQL Server Administration
- Hyper-V & VMWare Administration
- Networking Skills (Routing / NAT / VLAN)
- Troubleshooting skills across multiple technologies
- Desktop Support
- Strong experience with creating, documenting and implementing standardisation across client environments
- Enjoys structuring the environments and improving the IT stability of the client IT infrastructure environment
- Service ticketing systems experience (preferably Autotask)
- Remote monitoring & management systems experience (preferably N-Able)
- Documentation systems experience (preferably ITGlue, Sharepoint)
