An exciting full-time temporary Client Service Officer position is available working for a well-known Government employer until the 30th of June 2023 with potential for extension. Located in the beautiful area of Latrobe Valley, this position will see you support the Client Engagement & Support Services division by providing an exceptionally high level of customer service.

**You will be responsible for the following;**
- Delivering a professional face-to-face and telephone enquiry service, providing information on the range of benefits and services provided by this organisation.
- Guiding and assisting members of the community to appropriate information resources, including websites and registration.
- Conducting client assisted claiming and processing client related tasks via ICT support system.
- Providing services to the local community that are tailored to their needs.
- Redirecting more complex enquires to the relevant sections.
- Recording all telephone enquiries on a client contact database, and forwarding appropriate written correspondence where required.
- Liaising with other work areas, Government agencies and external organisations as required.
- Providing administrative and clerical support within the Team and assisting in the preparation of relevant resource materials.
- Positive participation in process improvement, team planning and own performance management activities.
- Managing time, resources and accuracy of work processing to effectively meet agreed targets and performance standards.

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Ability to manage and organise work in the context of competing priorities.
- Attention to detail, especially when conducting proof of identity.
- Well-developed written skills and the ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
- Well-developed verbal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate contentious calls.
- Demonstrated personal resilience and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Experience working within the parameters of the Australian Public Service.
