Overview:
**Your Role**

HBCF, as part of iCare, delivers crucial insurance coverage to homeowners in the event a contractor is unable to honour their commitments due to insolvency, death, disappearance or building licence suspension. GB’s Business Model enables us to support this safety net, deploying a claims management model that provides the best customer experience to homeowners and protects the HBCF’s objectives.

Working with the Leadership and Management team this role will see you provide day-to-day leadership and technical mentoring to your team ensuring the delivery of a cost effective, professional and customer focused claims service, while developing staff and implementing quality initiatives. This role has a significant focus on leadership, customer service and continuous improvement.

This position will be offered on a permanent full-time basis with WFH flexibility.

**Responsibilities**:
**You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following**:

- Creating an inspiring team environment with open communication culture
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the team
- Monitoring and managing team performance and report on metrics KPI achievement to assist the business in meeting its performance needs according to client contract
- Acting as a point of escalation for any disputes, following GB’s dispute management framework
- Improve quality and processes across the team
- Responsible for the people leadership and management of the team
- Overseeing large and complex claims matters
- Escalation point for the claims team on technical matters
- Build and develop external business relationships with the client and external network
- To maintain compliance standards in line with GB and client contractual requirements including authorising payments and daily tasks on Claim Centre within associated timeframes

Qualifications:
**We’re interested in hearing from people who possess**:

- At least 7 years insurance experience with 3 years management experience over your insurance career
- Ability to build and develop business relationship with clients and Service Providers
- Ability to comply with relevant state legislation
- Insurance policy interpretation skills
- Stakeholder management
- Strong level of interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills and negotiation skills
- Commitment to quality and accuracy
- ANZIIF Executive Certificate in General Insurance Claims or AQF Diploma of General insurance or industry equivalent (desirable)
