Equans is looking for an experienced Inspection and Testing Technician to join the team in North Plympton, SA. As the I&T Tester it will be your responsibility to effectively service, inspect and test Fire Protection Equipment such as Fire Detection Systems, Portables, Passive and Exit and Emergency lighting systems, Non-Pumped Hose reels and Hydrants.

**Responsibilities**:

- Survey customer premises and recommend fire protection and safety systems and equipment, in accordance with EQUANS procedures and processes and relevant Australian Standards.
- Identify, Inspect, and test fire protection and safety systems and equipment - including Fire Panels, EWIS, Fire alarm systems, emergency exit lighting, portables, and passive equipment.
- Work alongside and assist a qualified technician who will provide you guidance and training
- Complete and provide evidence of maintenance performed on fire protection systems and equipment using logbooks and associated documents in an accurate manner
- Driving commitment to the highest standards of business code of conduct Maximise efficiencies via route planning, time management, stock management and service delivery
- Manage and maintain all assigned company property, including documents, tools, equipment and
- Report work progress and performance by completing productivity key performance indicator (KPI) reports
- Being on call and attending call outs as per rostered requirements
- Complying with Company and client Welfare, Health & Safety and Environment policies and procedures

**About you**:

- Technical certificate/licences in relevant field
- Eager for a career in the Fire Protection industry
- Strong dexterity and aptitude for problem solving
- High standard of written and oral communication skills
- Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver continuous improvement
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Able to keep up to date with product and industry knowledge, and an understanding of where to locate the relevant information
- A solid knowledge of the applicable Australian Standards relevant to Fixed Systems fire protection equipment would be highly regarded
