We have a very busy new warehouse recently launched in Geelong, in which we process incoming deliveries; wipe, test or refurbish all our used parts; and put together orders large and small for packing and shipping.

There's always a lot of activity as we often have a quick stock turnaround:

but you'll find a lot of training, support and a spirit of camaraderie We're looking for a new member of staff to be responsible for Hardware Testing duties.


The Role:

Techbuyer has a global reputation for quality in IT refurbishment. Maintaining that standard is our Technical Testing and ITAD teams.

The knowledge, skill, and diligence of these teams is vital to maintain inventory standards and provide customers with advice, which ultimately leads to correctly fulfilled orders.

We're looking for someone with good technical skills and experience, knowledge or an interest in IT components would be a welcome addition.

Attention to small details and an ability to logically solve a problem would also be great - we like an inquiring mind There is always a lot of work to do and we often receive crucial last-minute orders.

You will need to work quickly, precisely, and organize your workload accordingly.

Some warehouse tasks may involve assisting with Goods In, Goods out, or Stock Control roles for a short time to assist with the overall objectives.

Please note this can be a physical role - you'll need to be confident lifting 50lbs We hope to make you a part of our friendly, eager, and committed staff

Required Skills:

  • Attention to detail you need to be able to follow strict operational guidelines
  • Computer literate with the ability to use of Microsoft Office 2016 and Windows 10 daily
  • Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly with nontechnical departments
  • Organised approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Willingness to work outside of their comfort zone and assist other departments when required
  • Enthusiasm to learn new technologies

Desirable Skills:

  • Awareness of a variety of IT component parts such as RAM, CPU, HDD, SSD
  • Understanding of installing operating systems would be advantageous
  • Basic understanding/awareness of server operation such as configuring RAID
  • Experience in CLI and terminal use / programming languages

Role Responsibilities:

  • Test incoming stock, liaising with the Goods-In and Purchasing departments
  • Data and configuration erasure of all server and networking equipment in line with company policy
  • Configure, build and test all configuretoorder servers and blades for sales orders
  • Refurbishing purchased stock to company standards for reselling
