We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our City Parks Natural Areas team. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge by providing efficient and effective general bushland maintenance tasks and monitoring within the City’s bushland, estuary, and coastal reserves.

- You assist with the assessment and monitoring activities with reserves, and are open to the opinions of others, and implement management plans for high priority natural areas.
- You operate tools and spray equipment in a professional and safe manner and are able to identify and control weeds in the natural area.
- You contribute to the team in providing natural area maintenance tasks including:

- General litter collection;
- Fence installation and repair; and
- Assisting with native species planting, tree guarding, watering and seed collection and processing.
- You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
- You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
- You are skilled in traffic management.

**What can you bring to the team?**
- Certificate III and/or Cert IV in Conservation and Land Management OR Five (5) years on ground experience in conservation and land management
- Current unrestricted MR or HR class national drivers’ licence
- Sound native plant knowledge and identification
- Experience in natural area maintenance and rehabilitation including construction, assessment and monitoring
- Current Certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
- Current White Card
- Chainsaw Ticket
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
