**About the Manager, Child and Youth Services**:
Under the general direction of the Executive Manager of Disability and Child and Youth Services, you will lead in the successful creation and implementation of the Child and Youth Services Department. You will promote and provide consistent service delivery in accordance with CLO's Vision, Mission and Purpose, Values and Code.
The role of the Manager, Child and Youth Services will ensure that plans are developed, assessed, reviewed and implemented appropriately. This role will be responsible for supporting Child and Youth Services Team Leaders and staff to ensure positive outcomes for our young people.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide leadership and operational management to CLO's child and youth services team while monitoring performance and outputs in accordance to CLO policy.
- Lead the implementation of evidence based, accountable and ethical child and youth services and child protection practices.
- Contribute to strategic planning and development with the Executive leadership team
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including children and families.
- Contributing in policy and procedure creation and reviewing processes.
**About You**
To become part of CLO's dynamic operations team, you will have a values match with CLO as a first vital point to success as well as an understanding of the NDIS and how this impacts young people, service providers and staff.
Qualifications and Essential Licences:
- Tertiary Qualifications (Bachelor's Degree) in relevant field such as community services, disability or social services.
- DHS Working With Children Clearance (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening
- Current 'C Class' Driver's Licence
You will also possess:
- In-depth and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Children and Young People Protection Act and other legislation's relating to Child Protection practice
- Proven ability to engage in high quality communication processes which facilitate clarification, negotiation and mediation.
- Experience in the management of changing environments
- High level of verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated leadership skills, providing training, coaching, mentoring, supervision to ensure ongoing development of knowledge and skills within department.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain professional networks.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel.
