**The Role**

Working as part of a dynamic, innovative and collaborative small team, they will be responsible for all elements of direct support for the Commander, including diary management, correspondence, travel facilitation and stakeholder engagement. They will be required to work autonomously and possess the ability to manage competing priorities and multitask effectively.

**About our Team**
The position will offer the successful person the opportunity to work at the Australian Defence College, which has a pivotal role in contributing to building the Australian Defence Force future force.

The Australian Defence College combines the Australian Defence Force Academy, the Australian Defence Force Training Centre, the Australian War College and supporting Centres of Excellence.

Through these institutions and its other activities, the Australian Defence College promotes learning and growth of leaders and managers who have professional interest in national and international defence and security issues, be they military or civilian, from Australia or overseas.

The Australian Defence College also manages the Defence Registered Training Organisation, with the Commander of the Australian Defence College being the appointed Chief Executive Officer. The Defence Registered Training Organisation is responsible for providing nationally accredited training for the Defence workforce.

- Have strong computer literacy skills;
- Have the capacity to use your initiative and solve problems;
- Have an eagerness to get tasks done, plan, and coordinate business priorities;
- Successfully develop and implement policies and procedures;
- Work collaboratively in a team based environment actively participating in and contributing to team and organisational objectives;
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Be self-motivated, pro-active and organised and enjoys being part of a team; and
- Have good judgement.
