**About the role**

The Mater Private Hospital Redlands has an opportunity available for an experienced** Administration Officer** to join the Patient Services team. This is **a Casual opportunity**. We are looking for someone who is flexible with their working hours and is available for all shift times with mínimal restrictions. **Shift times range from 6:00am through to 8:00pm.**

**Salary Range: $35.45- $39.62 (MCA3) per hour plus Superannuation plus Casual Loading & Salary Packaging up to $15,900.**

**What you’ll be doing**

As an Administration Officer your role will involve but not limited to:

- Providing Exceptional Customer Service to patients, Visiting Medical Officers, and clients. This may include work in our sessional rooms supporting our VMO’s.
- Processing patient admissions, transfers and discharges and the preparation of clinical forms including the preparation of health fund checks and financial consent.
- Providing administrative support to clinical staff across the Mater Cancer Care Centre, Day Procedure Unit, Operating Theatres, and Inpatient Wards.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, complying with administration, and financial policies and procedures, maintaining accurate, current, and accessible files, including maintenance of records of relevant meetings and discussions.
- Provide administrative assistance to other senior staff and others as requested.
- Exercise judgement where necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Highly experienced in providing medical administration support
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills
- Strong computer skills including competence in using Patient Administration systems (or the ability to quickly learn new systems)
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work under the direction of others in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively within a busy, fast-paced and demanding environment.
