**About the Opportunity**

Icon is looking for a
**Social Procurement Coordinator **to join our growing Social Procurement Team.

Be part of the team responsible for delivering $40M+ social value and economic opportunities for over 400 priority job seekers as part of the Design & Construction of a range of Government Major Projects.

The primary role of the Social Procurement Coordinator is to advance implementation of Social Procurement and Local Jobs First Policy commitments and compliance through project delivery. This role will report to Icon Social Procurement and Inclusion Manager, as well as working closely with Icon Indigenous Coordinator.

**This role will be accountable for**:

- Project level implementation of Social Procurement and Major Project Skills Guarantee commitments.
- Support engagement of Aboriginal Business, Social Enterprise and Disability Enterprise
- Support the implementation of inclusive employment strategies to advance employment for Aboriginal Victorians and Disadvantaged Victorian Cohorts
- Support pathways for women in construction through the implementation of project level Building Equality Policy plans
- Support the development of implementation plans to deliver Apprentice, Trainee and Cadet pathways to meet Major Project Skills Guarantee (MPSG) commitments.
- Ensure MPSG requirements and initiatives are well communicated and known at project delivery level, including direct engagement with sub-contractors, project briefings etc.
- Building relationships with TAFE, GTOs, Employment Partners, Government Agencies.
- Fulfil project reporting obligations on a monthly and quarterly basis
- Status, review and interrogate collated data to ensure the project is on track to achieve contractual targets

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the Victorian Social Procurement Framework, Local Jobs First Policy, and Building Equality Policy.
- Track record of working on Social Procurement and Local Jobs First programs in a project environment
- Understanding of the apprenticeship and trainee space in relation to building & construction
- Capability to influence peers, management and contractors
- Proven ability in engaging and working with third party providers in implementing and supporting outcomes
- Attention to detail related to compliance reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- A wide range of formal education history will be considered
- Minimum 3 years in social value and economic participation within building and construction sector, civil construction, and /or in related Government roles.
- High level of competency related to Major Project Skill Guarantee (MPSG) and implementation
- Social procurement, social inclusion, and/or construction knowledge
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work both individually and as a team
