Strategic Procurement is a dynamic centre lead department that facilitates best practice Procurement activity across the organisation including Procurement system, process administration and contract management support and advice.

About the Position

The Coordinator is responsible for Council's centre lead purchasing function including training and proactive Procurement Policy compliance monitoring.
The role is also required to analyse and interpret spend data to identify and implement strategic procurement activities involving internal and external stakeholders to review and implement new collaborative procurement and shared service opportunities.

Skills and Experience

Experience with administration and management of purchasing systems and training.

Strong analytical skills and problem solving experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and delivering presentations.

Experience with development and implementation of new procurement category strategies.

Strong customer service experience.

Experience in leading and guiding staff to maintain compliant procurement practice in a decentralised purchasing environment whilst maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships.

**Requirements**:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial experience in the management and administration of purchasing systems

Satisfactory National Police Check
