**Overview**
- The Women’s and Children’s Hospital has partnered with the WCH Foundation to deliver the Cocoon Program. The Cocoon Program is a multidisciplinary service that provides comprehensive and coordinated care to vulnerable infant’s experiencing medical and developmental complexities. The program will focus on infants under 12 months of age who have active involvement with Department of Child Protection and will offer infants and their carers paediatric medical care, formal developmental screening and assessments, formal neurodevelopmental assessments, infant mental health support, referral to appropriate psychosocial supports, infant-carer therapy and referrals to specialist services as required.

The role of the Allied Health Co-Lead Coordinator is to plan, implement, coordinate and monitor the process of providing medical, developmental, mental health and psychosocial health assessments for infants and their carers referred to WCH Foundation Cocoon Program. The position is overarching with coordination, monitoring, reporting functions and program implementation functions.

**About the Women's and Children's Health Network**

The Women's and Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.

It is the state’s leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA’s largest maternity and obstetric service. It also provides important community-based services.

Each year, more than 30,000 people are admitted and about 5000 babies are born at the Women's and Children's Hospital. In addition more than 250,000 people come to the hospital as outpatients.

The hospital has 295 beds. The hospital’s paediatric and adolescent wards cater for all paediatric specialties. Women’s wards provide antenatal, gynaecology, neonatal and postnatal care.
