We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general health care services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and health care needs.


Eastern Health Physiotherapy is one of the largest Physiotherapy teams across Victoria, employing over 240 Physiotherapists and 40 Allied Health Assistants (Physiotherapy) who work across our entire care continuum and multiple specialty streams within 5 organisation programs and 11 geographical locations in the eastern region.

About the role


As a Physiotherapy Manager, you will join a dynamic, highly supportive team of 15 Grade 4 Physiotherapists, 2 Physiotherapy managers and Director of Physiotherapy in working together to enable and progress professional governance and practice evolution across our passionate EH PT team.

Relative to your clinical expertise and regency of practice, there will be opportunities to provide back fill to clinical lead grade 4s during periods of leave, particularly in the areas of clinical supervision to our grade 3 teams, incident reviews and relevant committee and council representation.


At this time, your daily management focus will be on optimising team performance and deployment of the available workforce to ensure every member of our bed-based and outpatient PT teams are safe (both physically and psychologically), effective and growing each day, which in turn will enable great team, patient & service outcomes.

You will also take leadership of profession wide strategic improvements, particularly related to workforce innovations that enable best practice and support professional governance activities for Physiotherapists working in Ambulatory and Mental Health settings.


Substantively, this role will share operational responsibility for a multidisciplinary graduate, AHA and casual pool with our existing Physiotherapy/Allied Health Workforce Support manager, offers opportunities to collaborate closely with the relevant professions, our Learning & Teaching directorate and to represent Allied Health on key strategic meetings and projects relative to this portfolio of work.

This component of the role reports directly to the Director of Allied Health.

You will be an active participant in the Eastern Health Allied Health leadership team and enjoy the support of and opportunities to work within this diverse team to contribute to the progression of allied health governance across the organisation.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA

Post graduate qualifications in relevant clinical fields or health services management
