**About the role**

The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) works under the direction of allied health professional staff (AHP), assisting with the provision of allied health services, including clinical service delivery to CALHN patients, and contributing to the safe, efficient, and professional operation of allied health services. These lead to improved clinical outcomes for the patients of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), including the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre (HRC), Repatriation Health Precinct (RHP), Glenside Health Services, and community and ambulatory services or programs.

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South’s Australia’s major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct. We also deliver mental health services at Glenside Health Services and at a range of other locations across the metropolitan and regional areas.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
