About the Position

The NSW State Manager manages TFA’s key stakeholder relationships in NSW, engaging strategically across
the NSW education sector. The role will leverage established relationships and identify influential individuals,

organisations and networks necessary to ensure the success of TFA’s programs in NSW. The role will engage
and consult with schools, community and government stakeholders, including departments, political offices,

MPs, peak bodies and associations, to understand their needs and challenges, negotiate agreements, increase

awareness and build support of TFA’s programs. The role will work closely with the TFA’s NSW Program Team,

leading program design and implementation for the NSW context.

About You
- Significant experience working in the NSW education sector (e.g. schools, Department) with a deep
- understanding of the challenges and needs of NSW schools.
- Sophisticated ability to present, negotiate, influence and engage strategically with diverse and senior
- stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience building internal and external stakeholder relationships, drawing on support

and input as needed.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas in a clear, concise format.
- Strong project, time management and planning skills.
- Ability to work with complexity and ambiguity to meet project and stakeholder needs.
- Experience in ITE program design and implementation or similar is preferred.

Role Purpose

The NSW State Manager manages TFA’s key stakeholder relationships in NSW, engaging strategically across

- Lead the strategic direction, program design and refinement of TFA’s program in NSW as informed by

stakeholder requirements.
- Initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with NSW stakeholders, ensuring they are familiar

with the current work of TFA and that TFA understands their priorities, current challenges and needs.
