An opportunity has arisen for two Associate Producers to work with the UNSW Centre for Ideas, who pride themselves in presenting a thought-provoking program of live events, digital events, and digital content - podcasts, videos, animations, and more. Their program brings the globe’s leading thinkers to UNSW Sydney and presents UNSW to the world. Over the last few years, speakers have included former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, artificial intelligence expert Toby Walsh, leading epidemiologist Dr Anthony S Fauci, and activist Grace Tame, along with partnerships with the Sydney Opera House and the Festival of Dangerous Ideas.

The Associate Producer plays an important role in collaboration and reporting to the Program & Events Manager to plan and deliver events (live and digital), partnerships and projects such as talks, panel discussions, installations, major events or festivals, academic and student development programs, and digital projects.

As an Associate Producer, you will contribute to the Centre for Ideas’ program of events and develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will take carriage of specific projects, including end-to-end event delivery encompassing both talent and production management, as well as the delivering many of the Centre for Ideas digital programs.

In this role, you will collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders in marketing and publicity to deliver audience focused events, projects and content, ensuring high quality event presentation, consistency and effective use of resources. You will also contribute to the management of university wide event operations systems.

In consultation with the Program & Events Manager, you will be expected to participate fully within the Centre for Ideas team, contributing to building a cohesive and effective team that demonstrates a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. This role includes working out of standard business hours and on weekends as the annual program of events and projects requires.

**Who You Are**:

- Demonstrated commercial acumen and skills as a producer evidenced by successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively track and maintain budgets.
- Demonstrated talent and production management for projects and events.
- Demonstrated experience of working in complex and fast-moving environment and working with a wide variety of stakeholders and colleagues to deliver successful events and projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective collaborative professional relationships.
- Strong time management, attention to detail and organisational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- An understanding of relevant aspects of marketing, publicity, ticketing, communication and customer relationship management.
