The **Treasury Analyst** is an important player within our business; you will work within a supportive small Treasury Team who meticulously manage the day-to-day operations of the corporate treasury function.
In this role, you will work with stakeholders across the business and contribute by providing high quality treasury and finance decision support for the business. Viva Energy is a flat organisation undergoing an exciting transition to a large independent business with a new strategy and a focus on growth, this profile will significantly add to your skillset.
You will support the day to day activities that would include Liquidity Management, Reporting, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Risk Management and managing transactional banking solutions (including controls framework).
**Responsibilities**
Liquidity Management
- Maintain and understand in detail the short and medium term cashflow forecast and its impact on financial performance. Sensitivity and variance analysis to be developed to continue to increase the accuracy of the cash forecast process and to optimise liquidity. Overseeing day-to-day financial activities.
- Provide support to the business for bank guarantees, performance bonds, letters of credit and other trade finance instruments as required.
Reporting/Financial Accounting/Compliance
- Manage the relationship with the Accenture back office for cash management.
- Oversee treasury month-end financial accounting processes including reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Risk Management
- Analysing and interpreting financial data.
- Preparing weekly treasury reports.
- Ensure accurate reporting of all transactions including monitoring of valuations and performance of all hedges on a daily basis.
System
- Maintaining and managing the transactional banking solutions including controls framework for various transactional banking providers.
**Qualifications**:
- CA/CPA qualification and/or BS degree in Finance, Economics
- Experience in a corporate or financial institution treasury
- Experience in developing a financial model for treasury forecasting and scenario analysis
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Ability[ZML1] to troubleshoot, problem solve and operate to strict timelines for banking and hedging tasks.
- Strong understanding of financial markets instruments and products
- Strong presentation, reporting and communication skills (written and oral).
