**About the Opportunity**:
The Security Intelligence Support Officer is an important contributor to ANSTO’s protective intelligence and security risk management. Objectives of the role are to:

- Maintain threat and vulnerability situational awareness
- Contribute to internal communications activities that sustaining ANSTO’s security culture, including oral presentations to a range of audiences
- Be ANSTO’s Assistant Communications Security Officer (COMSO)
- Materially contribute to ANSTO meeting national and international obligations for the safe, secure and sustainable management of nuclear and other radiological facilities and materials

A current national security clearance will be a strong advantage when being considered for the role.

**About You**:
**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of the role extend across ANSTO's employment level bands 5 and 6, with broader responsibilities and expectations associated with the more senior level.

Duties and responsibilities of the role, regardless of the level, include the following:

- Provide PSPF-based security advice, contribute to security risk assessments and implement or oversight a range of risk controls
- Maintain a collection plan across a range of internal, open-source and Australian Government sources to inform threat assessments and security briefings
- Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues in law enforcement and intelligence agencies
- As Assistant COMSO, take significant responsibility for ANSTO's operation of secure communications, systems access management and compliant work practices
- Contribute to ANSTO's positive security culture through the delivery of training, briefings and internal awareness products.
