FEDERAL GOVERNMENT POSITION

THE POSITION:

The primary objective of the Officer Warehouse is to ensure the secure, safe and efficient handling of
goods and documents. This includes their receipt, intra plant transfers and despatch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receiving, dispatching and processing goods and documents through the Receiving Store
• Picking goods correctly using SAP system
• Transferring stock in a timely and accurate manner from the Central store
• Ensuring goods and documents entering the site undergo a security clearance
• Undertaking inspections and successfully operating security scanning equipment
• Handle different goods and storage conditions
• Accurate and timely entry of data in the SAP system to activate the supplier payment process
• Participation in stock takes and cycle counts
• Implement security and safety procedures upon detection of security and safety threats
• Ensure scanning equipment is operated in accordance with guidelines
• Loading and unloading goods in a safe manner to avoid damage to goods
• Conducting, reporting warehousing and stores safety audits and implementing improvements
• Booking appropriate courier for off-site shipping 
• Keep work area clean and in good order
• Reviewing processes and maintaining documentation to ensure system meets business requirements
• Follow procedures associated with Materials handling equipment and controlled apparatuses
• Undertake additional duties as required and during period of leave of other staff

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current forklift and drivers licence - Essential 
• HR Licence - Highly regarded
• Experience in operating materials handling equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to follow strict procedures and processes
• Basic computer skills including SAP experience
• Ability to manage stores operations with minimal supervisor

Hours:                     Monday to Friday 7.30 - 3.30 pm

Work Type:             12 months Temp

Hourly Rate:            $42.58/hour  (Includes casual loading) 

MUST BE AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN TO APPLY TO WORK FOR AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

FULL FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED WHICH CAN TAKE UP TO 6 WEEKS.
