**Role details**

The Communications Officer is accountable to the Assistant Director, Regulatory Reform to deliver against Education Standards Board’s strategic priorities to continue positive engagement with stakeholders.

The role works collaboratively across all teams to:

- Draft and deliver regular communications to the sector.
- Manage and update the website regularly to inform and educate audiences about reform and any changes to policy.
- Leverage technology and online platforms for communication.

**About you**
- You are an experienced communications professional, able to tailor verbal, written and digital communications to convey complex and technical information to make it relevant and accessible for various audiences.
- You have marketing experience and can maintain branding, style guides and communications templates.
- You have demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight timeframes and to produce work of a high standard under pressure and with limited supervision.
- You are comfortable working across multiple communication software or platforms such as Campaign Monitor, Drupal CMS, Squiz Matrix and LinkedIn.

The Education Standards Board (ESB) is the independent statutory authority that regulates early childhood services and registers schools to improve education and care outcomes for children and young people in South Australia.

Our main functions are:

- approving early childhood services
- assessing and rating early childhood services
- educating and monitoring compliance with the law
- taking regulatory action in the event of non-compliance
- registering schools
- reviewing the registration of schools
