**THE ROLE**

This role will see you reporting directly to the Managing Director with direct accountability for workshop staff, parts manager, and service coordinators.

With current methodologies in place, and the business always striving to exceed industry standards, this vacancy will allow you to champion a profound in-depth analysis of current procedures, implementing your own experience and vision.

Now you have arrived, you will track, oversee, and monitor Performance Development Plans, Workshop Performance, Productivity, and Efficiency, OH & S Compliance/Quality Control, Debtor Regulation, Customer Care, Stock Control, Training, and Company Assets

Daily responsibilities will see you;
- Focus on the workshop sales, ensuring profit strategy is clear to staff following throughout the branch and business strategy.
- Direct dealer management
- Control budget, revenue, growth, margins, and market share targets working to budget.
- Provide customers with service and repair quotations in a timely manner liaising with the Workshop Leading Hand
- Safeguard the Parts Manager is vigorously obtaining prospects to increase parts sales.
- Monitor workshop productivity, establish the layout of the workshop to ensure the required efficiency can be achieved by workshop personnel.
- Manage jobs run to budget, meet timelines and costs.
- Statutory reporting
- Ensure a sufficient workforce is aligned with company sales and production requirements.
- OH & S Compliance, strengthening the safety of all persons in the Workshop, coupled with certifying equipment/tools are maintained to safe and serviceable levels.
- Debtor Control, working closely with accounts receivable,
- Lead by example regarding customer care, service & communication building and maintaining relationships.
- Effectively manage incoming and dispatch of goods including stock take
- Supervise and train staff to a high level of competency.

**THE ESSENTIALS**
- Formal trade qualification (fabrication/engineering)
- Certificate in business/project management
- Understanding how to manage a team of people.
- Demonstrated exposure in the mechanical handling, port, or industrial operations industry sector.
- Project management, negotiation, customer relationships, and effective time management skills
- Sound analytical and numerical skills
- Able to Motivate, mentor and inspire people.
- Excellent work ethic
- Cultural sensitivity and adaptability
