We’re embarking on a global search for the Dean of Medicine & Health. This position reports to the University’s Provost, Professor Vlado Perkovic. As one of the world’s top 50 medical faculties, UNSW Medicine & Health brings together excellence in teaching and research to address the most significant health challenges the world faces.

From the epidemic of obesity to global ageing and the resurgence of communicable diseases, including COVID-19, the critical health issues facing our modern world create numerous and diverse needs that our Faculty addresses in order to drive real-world change and positive societal impact.

The Dean will lead the Faculty Executive in shaping and realising the Faculty’s strategy in line with the University’s strategy. Heads of Schools and Centre Directors report to the Dean, along with the Faculty Executive Director, Deputy Deans and Associate Deans.

In addition to the management of the Faculty, the Dean will build and sustain excellent relationships with the community, government and Faculty alumni to ensure the interests of the Faculty are effectively promoted and supported, increase and maximise fundraising and develop initiatives with external partners and donors to the University.
