**Research Communications Coordinator**
- Employment Type: Full time (35 hours per week)
- Duration: 1-year contract
- Remuneration: Level 7 $100,331 - $108,588 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
- Location: Kensington, NSW (hybrid flexible working)

The portfolio of External Engagement is responsible for connecting the University with core stakeholders including philanthropists, alumni, government, volunteers, the media, and the broader community. It is made up of six collaborative and high performing teams: Strategic Communications, Development, Centre for Ideas, News and Content, External Engagement and Operations.

**Why Your Role Matters**:
The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in coordinating and managing the communication strategy and activities for the newly formed Clinical Research Unit in UNSW Medicine & Health.

The role reports to the External Engagement Manager, Medicine and Health, and has no direct reports. The role works closely with the Faculty Executive Director, Senior Vice Dean Research and Operations, the Director Clinical Trials Unit.

**Who you are**:
We are looking for a motivated and experienced communications professional, confident in their skills in planning, problem solving and time management. They will be well organised and a creative thinker, but also agile and able to manage competing priorities with ease.

**Responsibilities**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification and experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience in developing brands, marketing and business development.
- Proven expertise in content production and curation across most digital mediums including digital and print materials.
- Knowledge of best practice digital content including analytics and SEO.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and the ability to enhance and bring content to life.
- Experience in managing events.
- Understanding of target audiences, with an effective writing style and ability to deliver high-impact messaging to key audiences.
- Proven success using initiative to develop, drive and share content ideas.
