The Assistant Director Fraud Policy and Engagement works under the broad direction of the Director Fraud Control and Analytics, assisting the agency to effectively manage fraud and corruption risks through the development and implementation of key strategic fraud governance documents, management of stakeholder engagements, development of communication strategies, compliance reporting, and the development of fraud (and scam) awareness and training.

**Duties**
- Drafting core governance documentation including Fraud Control Plans and Strategy statements.
- Researching industry counter fraud capabilities and prevention innovations.
- Developing fraud awareness training and communication strategies and materials.
- Leading the establishment and maintenance of collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support counter fraud capability.
- Coordinating holistic fraud control reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Managing, guiding, mentoring and developing senior (APS6) and junior (APS5/4) fraud control officers.
- Coordinating DVA’s external and internal counter fraud communication strategy.
- Overseeing the development of the SCAMS Response Framework
