We are engaged by our client, a leading Transport company, seeking a highly skilled & experienced General Manager Transport to oversee all aspects of their national transport operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company objectives and drive growth in transport operations.
- Oversee all transportation operations, including fleet management, route planning, scheduling, and dispatching.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to the transportation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and reliable transportation services.
- Develop and manage transportation budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to control expenses.
- Establish and maintain relationships with transportation vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor service levels.
- Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline transportation operations, improve efficiency, and enhance customer service.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to transportation operations, including safety hazards, security threats, and regulatory compliance issues.

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- 5 years of proven experience in transportation management or related roles, with a track record of success in leading and optimizing transportation operations.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans and initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Enhance BU proficiency in transportation management software and technology solutions.
