**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The Manager Database Administration role is the most senior position within the database team. It is responsible for the planning, delivery of database platforms in hybrid cloud environments and establishing strong governance that reflect contemporary best practice and achieves optimal outcomes for the organisation’s strategic operational and business requirements.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Extensive experience in managing Oracle, MS-SQL and MySQL database services and infrastructure in a complex hybrid on-premise & cloud hosting environments
- Significant Linux environment and automation experience
- Significant experience managing a team of DBA’s, working with platform owners and cross-functional infrastructure teams to plan future system requirements and cloud migrations.
- Demonstrated experience optimising database performance and ensuring security compliance is maintained for all database technologies
- Experience with database backup, restoration, recovery, capacity planning, maintaining data integrity, audit and monitoring
- You will provide thought leadership, coaching and guidance to a team of Database SMEs.
- You can methodically direct investigation and remediation of service level breakdowns across critical production and non-production environments.

**HIGHLY REGARDED**
- Experience migrating and managing on-premise databases migrations to Cloud (Azure, AWS & OCI)
- Oracle version 19C experience
- Experience managing and leading a team of SME’s dispersed regionally across NSW
