**Compliance Officer, Ongoing (Permanent role) Parramatta location with hybrid working**

Are you skilled at audit and investigations? Do you possess a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial documentation along with interpreting legislation? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Business Taxes Team as a Compliance Officer at Revenue NSW.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies. You will play a pivotal role in conducting audits and investigations. You will research and make decisions and provide customer education on compliance related matters. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to communicate effectively will be vital in this role.

Your day to day can include meeting customers or their external representatives such as accountants at their place of business and conducting interviews and reviewing crucial documents. You will also analyse customer information and write reports with your recommendations.

Regular travel within the Sydney region where our customers are mainly located, and from time-to-time travel to areas outside of Sydney.

By joining our Business Taxes Team, you will work in collaboration with customers to meet their obligations. You will deliver customer focused outcomes and connect them to relevant educational resources.

**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Proven experience in compliance or within a similar role
- Knowledge and ability to interpret legislation and relevant laws
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Ability to interpret financial documents and analyse information
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate others on compliance matters
- Detail-orientated and organised, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
- High ethical standards and integrity, with a commitment to maintain confidentiality
