**What you'll be doing**

The Hotel Services Supervisor assists the Hotel Services Manager in the supervision of the day-to-day activities of support staff to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered to the hospital. This includes cleaning, ward support, linen, waste, equipment, security (through the Health and Security Assistant staff), and stores and supply.
Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager, assist with supervising and managing staff by processing leave requests, rostering, ensuring mandatory training and other applicable training is attended by all staff and managing minor staffing issues such as sick leave management, personal effectiveness and develop (PED) and minor grievances.
Offer all internal & external customers excellence in service that will ensure safe practice for the department. To help maintain the standards required ensuring a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors at Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital. Other duties as directed by the Hotel Services Manager that is within the range of competency and training of this position.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**
- Previous experience in leading or supervising staff including workload allocation, rostering and maintenance of rosters.
- Demonstrated skills in problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting internal audits to evaluate staff compliance with policies.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to providing and maintaining excellent customer service with demonstrated experience with service improvement and/innovation.
- Working knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems such as payroll and rostering systems and Microsoft Office with a high level of accuracy in data input.
