**About the role**

The Debt Collection Officer is responsible for review of aged debtors and engaging with residents and clients to ensure prompt payment of outstanding invoices across the service streams of Residential, Retirement, Community, and Disability.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Educating our customers about the basis for fees and charges and requirement to pay
- Investigating account queries and developing strategies to assist customers to pay
- Working collaboratively with the Accounts Receivable Officers and the broader business to ensure customers are supported and pay their accounts promptly to maintain the organisation’s cashflow.

**About you**

You have previous experience in a similar role where you used a large ERP system for processing and reporting. Your attention to detail is impeccable and you have an understanding of accounting principles, transactions and reconciliations. You are a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. Organised and methodical in your approach to work, you prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
