**About the opportunity**

As a Despatcher you will lead, direct and control processing/delivery and support activities to ensure all service standards and operational & performance objectives are met while facilitating change and innovation within the workplace. This includes the implementation and monitoring of relevant processes and systems.

**What you’ll deliver with us**

The processing of contractor courier, customer and staff enquiries regarding delivery times, addresses, proof of delivery details and charges

**You’ll also**
- Assist with the induction of new courier contractors
- Assist with the review of existing set runs and implementation of changed set runs
- Prepare and set up driver delivery runs as required
- Undertake courier deliveries as required
- Ensure employees and courier contractors understand and follow safe work procedures
- Liaise with administration headquarters regarding changes to the Despatch Master system as required
- Maintain a safe working environment and work ethic and ensure compliance with Australia Post’s OHS, EEO and Harassment, Discrimination and Bullying policies
- Assist in production of reports and other tasks for the State Ops Manager as required

**About You**

We are looking for someone with experience within transport/courier/freight industry particularly around call centre or scheduling services

**You’ll also**
- Have a firm and proven ability to in radio room operations.
- Have the ability to monitor and assess the performance of courier operations
- Demonstrate keen decision making and problem-solving skills
- Be self-organised with the ability to prioritise tasks quickly and effectively
- Have a basic understanding of HR and safety policies and procedures with regards to a transport/warehousing setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment
- A Proficiency with Microsoft suite.
